The Kalm has been Blown Away!
This weekend one of the best little tournaments around was scheduled to be held in Huntsville, Alabama.
Yesterday we got this message from the Kalm Organizer - Mr. George Flowers:
As some of you may be aware, much of the southeast area was hit by severe thunderstorms and tornados yesterday. This has left much of north Alabama without power and from what we know right now, we may not have power in Madison County for 4-5 days. There is a press conference scheduled this morning to update us on the power situation. Certainly the Kalm is secondary to all the damage done and lives lost but we wanted to give you guys an update about the situation. Unless we receive some extraordinary news about power being restored to the area, we will be unable to hold the Kalm this weekend.
That was followed by the formal cancellation this morning.
A good portion of the South and Alabama in particular was DEVESTATED on Wednesday. The good thing is that I believe all my buddies are ok - just without power for a week or so. That being said, a lot of peole have lost everything - some even their lives.
Please keep the good folks in Alabama in your thoughts and prayers.
